This vid is primarily a character profile of Mikura, the main character in Mezzo. Though there is one sad scene, which has links to the movie Mezzo Forte, the emphasis of the vid is on action with a fun, wink-and-a-nod attitude, much like the series itself.
Unlike many of my vids, there is no over-arching story to the vid. Instead it's comprised of a series of segments which depict various aspects of Mikura's personality and attitude, from her devil-may-care, acrobatic action scenes, to her mentoring of young Asami.
The song is a positive, upbeat number from 1975 by Kiki Dee, who is British, though you couldn't tell it from her singing voice, and was the first white woman ever signed by Motown Records, which explains the soulfulness in both her voice and the musical composition. If you like Joss Stone, then I think you'll like "I've Got the Music In Me".
The song lyrics contain several very specific descriptions of the singer's personality and attitude towards life, so it stands to reason that at least one of them wouldn't fit with Mikura's personality, and indeed we have that with the line "When something gets in my way, I go 'round it." If something gets in Mikura's way, she just blasts her way right through it, and so I went for some ironic humor and picked a scene which involved Mikura, a locked door, and her shotgun. Later on in the vid I went with irony again with the line "Ain't got no trouble in my life," since Mikura does have troubles, though she doesn't let them get her down.
Oh, and like most of my vids, there are a few clips which contain lip flap, for various reasons. Just know that they are there on purpose, and are definitely not because of sloppy editing.
So, I hope you enjoy the vid, and please let me know what you think and/or if you have any questions about any segments, preferably in the forum thread, though QC's will work too.

        Title: Maron To Father
Studio: Lost in Silver Productions
Creator: Sailor_Chibi (aka CherryPinkPrincess)
Audio: Confessions of a Broken Heart
Artist: Lindsay Lohan
Footage: Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne
Time: ~Hundred hours
Disclaimer: This video is purely fan-made. I have no association with the companies/artists who own footage and song you see here. I DO NOT OWN the anime Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne or the song "Confessions of a Broken Heart". They are the property of their creators.

Creator's Notes: I found this song again by a whim, and I was really surprised that it hadn't been done more often for KKJ. I was only able to find one video. It seems like a perfect song to describe the relationship between Maron and her parents, and I had little trouble finding enough footage. So, I decided to give it a try, and I'm really pleased with how it came out. I used a *lot* of keyframing in this video, more than I've ever used before, and that includes in the opening as well (I'm really super pleased with the opening). I hope you enjoy!

Fun Facts:

- this video is absolutely nothing for viewers with short attention span!
- first solo video in almost a year.
- encoding/exporting process took me almost exactly 24 hours.
- annoying glitches that appeared after encoding couldn't be fixed, sorry for that.
- it probably helps to understand german.
- the org needs more black metal videos.
- kevmasterflashdeluxe is a faggot.
- I freakin love vodka.

I've been working on this one for about 2 months (not counting all the time it took ripping and downloading all the footage and cropping the fullscreen stuff to fit the widescreen stuff). I'm also sorry that it's in letterbox fullscreen instead of widescreen. I don't have the equiptment to do that yet XD.

A lot of people don't really think of the song used to match the Magical Girl genre but I thought it fit pretty well and was inspiring enough.

Software used:

Adobe Premiere Elements 4.0
VirtualdubMod
Picture It 7.0
Partical Illusions(for the fire effect)

        Hi all !!

So this is my latest amv base on Soul Eater !
I started this project in october and i'm glad to release it now.

For the music i know that an akross amv was published using the same music but when i saw this i allready had edited 1 min and i diden't wan't to give up my amv (anyway both amv are way different) .

Hum to resume the project a little i discovered soul eater in september and i immediatly got addicted to it so i took the decision of making an amv using it ..

In the begining i wanted to do this amv fast like two weeks of editing during october holidays but after 3 weeks i realised that it was gonna take me much more time to finish it the way i actually wanted ..

Their isen't any particular concept i just wanted to associate finely soul eater on a fast trip hop music and keeping a fast editing style

Special thanks to Zerolink for the music and Vlex for the posters =)
So here it is i'll hope you'll enjoy it ;)

The re-enactment of TF2 in AMV form... according to Yue.

.. no not rly but theres needles, blood, and stabbings :>

Anyways, Iriya No Sora is one of those short, underappreciated series that no one edits with so i decided to do it some justice. This vid didn't take long at all.. i did one part about a week ago and then i ended up finishing the whole thing in 1-2 days. The video will probably not make any sense at all for people who haven't seen the series in terms of scene selection and such, but if you have seen it, hopefully you'll understand what I was trying to.. "convey" i guess. ;P

Enjoy!

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Lyrics

No one knows her
I have seen you hold her
trembling arms and fiery eyes
things you tell her she wont remember
the moment is all she holds in hand

I can see her smile
I can say her name
the face I see
we are both the same
If I am her
why do I damn her

am I hoping she will slowly slip away
am I hoping she will drown and slip away

if only this time I would know
she fakes her mind out in an open door
she is waiting
and I know there is still some light around her eyes
she will make a sad song
and you knew it was not funny
she is only seeing you the way
the way a madman feels inside a lifeless body
and I know she is only seeing me the way...

am I hoping she will slowly slip away
am I hoping I will drown and slip away

So this was my work for a Project:Editor final, where I competed with ShatteredFlame (as Nevie dropped T____T).

I was asigned Cowboy Bebop as the editing anime, but as there wasn't stated what to do with it, I decided to spice it up a little, instead of making the same old romance video which always uses the same scenes.

And I put Hatsune Miku in it.

It was tough, you can believe me. Not wanting to use 3D models, I had to rely on pictures only. Luckily for me, there's a lot of gif and jpg pictures fitting to her "Rainbow Girl" song. Still, I had to improvise a lot and spend a lot of time in PhotoShop (mainly cutting the edges around Miku).

Then there was masking. Again, lots of it. The flythrough around Spike's head, which has like... how much?... 2s?... took me about 90 minutes to complete.

There are still some rough places in it (because of the total 15 days to edit I used only the first one, then had awesome editing block and the rest was made in the last four days), but I decided to release like this, as I submitted it for the final.

If there is a demand, I might polish it up (I know where), narrow two or three beats and release a subs-less version.

I doubt that, though ;x

All in all, it was fun timez. I would like to thank all the judges and both organizators of Project:Editor, as it truly helped me in improving my editing skills (and making me a little more famous for my style, as a lot of people were watching it, nya~)

My favourite parts? Intro, credits, accidental sync at :23, first chorus lipsync and the end of the second chorus (another lipsync)

My not so favourite parts? Miku hanging in the storage room (upscaled a lot), any place where a mistake is visible.

The song is the best version I could find, but still sound a little weird... I guess that's just the way it is~

Long live Miku!

So this is my entry for the final round of Project Editor, against Nya-Chan and Neverend. For this round, we had to pick each others sources(or genres), Neverend had to pick my genre, and he gave me dance/upbeat. Which is actually my least favorite genre, next to romance. -.-

We had 15 days to edit but I didn't start untill about the last 4 days or so. So I picked a song that I could stand to edit to, got a bunch of anime with dance/fun scenes and made this. I tried to stray away from the usual Lucky Star/Haruhi/Ouran dance/effect videos which I can't stand. Overall, I like the outcome, I actually worked on it, gathered lots of ideas, worked on different concepts, scrapped most, and in the end, came out with this.

Neverend wound up dropping....XD. And Nya still wound up beating me by like 12 points D=....oh well, 2nd place isn't that bad =)

So...yea, download it if your in the mood for a fun dance video, with no over the top effect editing........and a quick comment would be nice =). Hope you enjoy watching it, and if not, thanks for downloading =)

and lol for incorrect title name on file, I honestly didn't notice until it was already uploaded, correct title would be the title of this video entry, and the one on the credits.

        (On YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LX1a5tD5ryQ&fmt=18 )

This is my entry for the first Anime Portugal's AMV contest, wich it was about creating an anime opening/ending with any song/anime we wanted.
I chose Black Cat, because it is my favorite anime lol. And the song was almost randomly chosen, but it came out to turn a great song for the project.

Programs used: Sony Vegas Pro 8.0

Dettails: I could have done a better job I guess, just don't know really how.
It took me some time, as in, two or three days (about 5 or 6 six hours), then some weeks without doing nothing, ending it in 1 more hour.
In sum, about the action and the plot of Black Cat (tried to).
Original song edited by me.

Hope you like!

A brief profile of Tsubaki, one of my favorite characters in Soul Eater. This is mostly composed of footage from the Fey Blade arc, episodes 10 and 11. Short, angsty and unplanned - good to know I'm still having fun editing these.

Programs Used:
- Sony Vegas 6
- AVIsynth
- VirtualDub

Song Lyrics:
I will break

I will break into your thoughts
With what's written on my heart

I'm so sick,
Infected with where I live
Let me live without this
Empty bliss,
Selfishness

I decided to put up my 15th AMV as my first on this site, I always wanted to put my AMVs up here but was always intimidated by the awesome talents here.

A while back I bought a copy of Megami and saw an ad for Aya Hirano's new CD Riot Girl. I got it and loved it. There was one song that struck me as amazing though. It was "Harmonia Vita" which I later found out to be the theme song to the DS game Sigma Harmonics.

I also checked out Chaos;Head and originally wanted to make an AMV to it with its opening song. Then I tested out Harmoina Vita with Chaos;Head and it was a perfect match for me.
So I used the game opening in this video as well.

Enjoy :)

Evangelion mixed with the trailer to The Matrix. Tried to be as simillar as possible to the original trailer. Sorry for the poor sound quality, but I couldn't find a stereo source, not even at the official site of the movie, tried to do some enhancements but it still sucks, at least it's audible.

-- Plot --

Shinji plays as Neo, who finds himself trapped in an awkward world, only to discover that he as a purpose to being alive, to pilot the Eva. Asuka plays as Trinity, who helps Shinji (Neo) fighting the angels (agents & sentinels). Kaworu as agent Smith, acts as the leader of the other angels and the organization SEELE, who is trying to start Third Impact. Morpheus acts as the narrator, he doesn't have a particular role in this. As for Rei, she is the embodiment of the Matrix itself, everything bends to her will when Third Impact is imminent.

Another lamme story-telling, but it gives an extra understanding of the film. Speaking of which, do you think this movie would sell? :P

Enjoy

Prepare yourself. You are about to embark on an epic journey into the imagination of Hayao Miyazaki and the talents of Michael Flatley. This unprecedented cross between animation and live dance will leave you breathless and on the edge of your seat.

(how's that for a build up! ^_^ hehe)

THIS VIDEO IS NOT FOR THE SHORT ATTENTION SPAN VIEWER. at almost 6 minutes, this video will take you for an emotional roller coaster. it has it's soft moments, fun moments, dramatic and heart racing moments.

About Lord of the Dance:
Lord of the Dance is an Irish musical and dance production that was created, choreographed, and produced by Irish-American dancer Michael Flatley, also its star. Music to the show is written by Ronan Hardiman. ~Wikipedia

The audio is my own mixture of four separate tracks which include:
Cry of the Celts (0:00-2:17) - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iQmBHHvmrD4
Warriors (2:17-2:52) - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SmdiPKmji60&feature=related
Nightmare (2:52-3:54) - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zb-7k6h42TE
Victory (3:54-5:51) - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vR_51ygQb8U&feature=related

There are several elements of the Lord of the Dance i wish i could have included in this project. But my purpose was to glorify Miyazaki's animation and to use the Dance as an enhancer. but at the same time, i wanted to give Lord of the Dance exposure to an audience who may easily enjoy it. (i fell in love the first time i watched it.) If you enjoy this video, i strongly recommend you purchase the DVD and/or the soundtrack. It all takes on a much more intense feeling when you can actually hear the taps of the dancers overlaying the music.

Beta/gamma testers:
Nighthawk
Ryvannis
Castor Troy
Inaaca
(THANK YOU)

editor's notes
at almost 3 months in the making, this video has more thought, effort, and attention to detail than any other video i've made to date. i wanted so much to make my own Miyazaki tribute, and i simply adored the soundtrack from Lord of the Dance, so i cut together 4 of my favorite tracks (and what i thought would make the best story). i don't remember exactly at which point i decided to add in actual footage from Lord of the Dance, but it was the smartest move i could have made.
i didn't know every scene i wanted before i ripped, so i just ripped EVERYTHING. i really wish i could have included the movies Totoro and Porco Rosso, but my poor computer was hardly able to handle the 7 movies i had already ripped. plus I couldn't picture any scenes from them that were dynamic enough for me to include. but they are still indeed movies worth owning.

it's funny, it's as hard for me to pick a favorite miyazaki movie as it is for me to pick a favorite track/dance from Lord of the Dance.

I didn't just use some random clips and put it with the song... I created a little story... more like an idea...

I think that anime always tries to show us different things and feelings and that's what i want to show in this amv...
Besides the bonds of anime (love bonds, friendship bonds) i also want to show the good times and the bad times... The way that all anime heros and heroines usually transform a bad thing into a good one...

Video Type:Random Practice Segments
Date: 2005-2006

Im gonna tell you right from the start that these videos
are old practice segments and will most likely give you a WTF moment at some points.
These videos were originally never meant to be seen since they were basically
me having fun doing strange things to my favorite scenes from different anime.

Back in early 2005 when i worked on the Anime Overload
AMV series, I had one particular episode called Hectic Henshin.
The video was around 9 minutes long and was a simple magical girl tribute.
The project was completed but never released with the AO
series because i didn't like the way it turned out and scrapped the project.

If you look at my amv profile, you will notice a large gap
of time between the release of the last AO episode and
the first MEP i joined later in 2006.
During that time, i didn't make any videos to release on the site and just did stuff for practice to improve my editing skills.
Since i have a fondness for Magical Girl themed anime and VGM, i decided to use that and re-open the Hecitc Henshin project files but this time i went to go wild with it.
Since this was only for practicing, the videos became anything goes
mixing all kinds of anime together and doing very weird things with them.
The videos contained alot of unusual events and went from animes like Sailor Moon
to Ranma to Elfen Lied.

Even though the videos were never meant to be released
and to just stay hidden on my HD, I put alot into them
and worked on stuff in it just about everyday when i
had free time. The massive amount of work put into
the videos helped me improve in things like Sync, Crossovers, editing speed and lip sync. Some of the videos even had little plots that continued over in multiple segments.
The time put into all the practice videos was about a year or a little over
and if you were to combined every segment I made together,
it would be between 1 and 2 hours.
One thing you can notice easily about these is the improvement of sync in these videos from the AO episodes.
The thing i always wanted to improve in my early work was sync so i worked on different sync techniques in the videos.
I got real serious with some plots and stuff in the later segments
and used a wide variety of anime i had available at the time.
It was alot of fun experimenting with various things
and using an unual mix of anime thought the segments.

I don't regret all the time i spent on the weird videos since the practice helped me improve alot in different ways.
These are some of my favorites of the practice files.
Don't think i'll ever do something like this again though :)

Alot of stuff in these will probably make no sense but fans.
of the sources and/or music might enjoy them.

If for some reason you actually want to give critique on these, keep
in mind that they are old and i have progressed a lot since then,
but feel free to tell me if you actually liked something from these. ^_^
Note: Not all the anime in the video may be listed

Important Info About the Soul Anime Archives' AMV releases:
The Soul Anime Archive videos may include anything from
unreleased mep tracks, full videos that were never
released, spoof stuff and practice videos that were
originally never meant to be released.
Some videos included can be up to 3 years old and may not
be on par with the way I currently edit.
Some practice videos may have issues such as lower
quality, incorrect AR at some points and VERY
random scene selections.
Not everything will have this issue but please keep that in
mind when downloading a Soul Anime Archive release.

Dancey video? YES. One of few videos that I did not make intending it for a con. I just fell in love with the animation of Macross Fronier as soon as I watched it and knew I wanted to make a lip-synch-dance thing. Of course, I had to toss some action in there, too :P
