Honestly it looked like it's still quite open for an S2 if they want to do it. It will likely depend on how well it sells. The first volume will be out on the 26th, so we can still hope.

Watched the full video before commenting. He had to use a flawed assumption to make it all work, and that is that we would already count Korean and Chinese animation as anime, but really we don't. Japanese is what we've gone by, and anime in western dictionaries is essentially registered as japanima...

Just to expand a bit, the only artists you will have issues with are Evanescence, Seether, and Creed. If you are using music by any other artist, then you're free to upload your AMV to ther org (as long as it has orgable content)!

Anime confirmations aren't needed anymore! Kireblue did a massive job and cleaned the 1k+ list of anime that had to be confirmed.

Perhaps we should unsticky this topic, for the time being I'll update the OP post.

Episode 1 showed it's a SHAFT production in its first half, but I still liked it quite a bit. Hopefully it'll still hold up down the road.

The animations here are excellent as I expected them to be (examples: 1, 2), it's definitely going to be one of the most used sources of the season in AMVs, if it doesn't fly under editors' radars.

Sangatsu no Lion is easy AOTS stuff if it isn't SHAFTed too much.

Yuri!!! on Ice might get a lot of AMV use if MAPPA goes all out (so far it looks like animations will be top notch).
