Otakon is not a con, it's an ADVENTURE! :D I'll tell you what it is. A lot of f'ing work. I miss the days when Otakon was smaller and required less man-power to get it organized and executed. For instance, Anime USA still feels like a get-together among friends where we hang-out, and in our spare t...

How about:
Corbo Crab Bash (probably more relavent if the hookers actually show up)
Corbo Beer Bash (people sign up to bring six-packs of microbrews)
Corbo Togo Bash (it'll fit with this year's Otakon theme of Back to School)

In regards to Otakon, who will this competition be open to? Previous year's winners? Is it invite only by the corrdinator, or will people vote for who they want to see compete? Also is this event an acual sloted event in the program this year or is it an "unoffical" part of the convention. (I doubt...

...wait, you guys changed the name to Iron Editor? We decided to call our event at Anime Boston Iron Editor so it'd be different than Iron Chef... Pat ran into the problem of name dilution. There were so many "Iron Chef AMV" events popping up both online and at other conventions that he wante...

This is the event that made it's debut at Anime Weekend Atlanta 7 in 2001 and soon spread to Anime Central along with a short stint at ...

Thanks for the heads up. Unfortunately Amazon has the same problem as eBay in that nowadays most of the stuff sold on the site as actually sold by individuals using the Amazon name. For instance, one the items is described as "- Factory Sealed - Authentic Software. Not in the Retail box. Manual on d...

Old and "out of print" software

My goal is to purchase two licensed copies of Adobe Premiere 6.0 or 6.5 but I'm not having much luck since they have long been superseded by Premiere Pro. I went so far as to call Adobe's corporate sales office and talked to one of their representatives. They said that sometimes some of the brick an...

Half that captain is my donation too since nobody else paid me for it! *Kicks AlanCon attendees* I'm still not sure but I think I can find EC for those of us whose videos lose to Dancing Vash Vids. And I'm bringing 7-up, but it's caffeinated, and freakishly green for some reason. You're not the onl...
