Muted (AWA Pro Best Storytelling)

Post by Xophilarus » Wed Oct 05, 2016 5:40 pm

Adding my hand to the spammage of AWA videos that have been announced in the past few days xP. I have another video I'm going to upload in a few days to a week as well that I will either add onto this or make a new post about depending on when I get around to doing it.
There is a long and meaningful story behind why I made the video, but the gist is it is about struggling with social anxiety and self doubt. If you want to know the details, you can find that on the description of the video if you care to know xP. I won't post it here due to its length, and not everyone wants to hear my life story xD.

Anyways, I hope you guys like this <3

I remember this was the first video that emotionally touched me while watching all those Pro videos. Now that You've explained the video and reason behind creating it, I can see why I felt so connected. There were a couple of videos I watched again and again from time to time and this was one of 'em & no matter how many times I saw, it had the same impact every time. And the point where the music hit it's peak i mean at line 'I don't blame You' I am certain any person especially ones having these issues would be moved... I think You did achieve success :) and am' so Glad You made this Video, Thank You.

When I first watched the video I hadn't seen the source and honestly didn't pay enough attention so it didn't grab me. But when I watched it a second time before the nomination I noticed that you really nailed the flow and emotion of the song. It just fits together so nicely. Well done.

Thank you very much ^^. That was the goal of the video so I am happy to hear I succeeded in your case!

I'm glad it grew on you over time, and you ended up enjoying the video :D. Thank you very much!

Thanks Siny! I am happy you liked this one! I'm also really happy your video was received well to. It's nice to see you making videos again ^^ Even if it won't be very regularly xP

Thanks! Not too many people have mentioned that, and it was one of the things I tried paying a lot of attention to while working on it so I'm glad that added some more enjoyment for you.

knowing the background of the video makes it even more sad
I'm currently reading "Komi-san wa Komyushou Desu" which is about a girl who struggles with social anxiety as well.

I really like this, a lot. I haven't seen the movie you used so I'm not quite sure what's going on, but it intrigued me enough that I'm putting it on my short list of things I need to watch. I look forward to being able to read your explanation of the video after seeing the movie (holding off on that for now as I don't want to spoil the source any more than what little I can gather from the AMV).

Anyway, great job with the mood, pacing, pretty much everything. I love the way this just gets under my skin, in a good way. The win was well-deserved
