sent my entry forever ago and just now decided to log back into the website. Apparently, I needed to "close the ftp account" for my entry to be processed. I completely missed that.

Just to clarify, does this mean we can enter videos using Western animation (e.g., Adventure Time, Lion King, Rocko's Modern Life, etc) as long as it isn't MLP or Spongebob?

It is a bit specific, but those two series were apparently the ones the convention heads wouldn't budge on. Other than those two, any other Eastern or Western animated source would be considered for the Convention Circuit contest.

Yes, this is a required step in my system as the videos are not released from the FTP system for me to do anything with until this step happens. Until the account is closed in the system I am locked out of the folders the submissions are stored in. This is partially for your entry security as well as I would have no way to be sure the file on the drive is complete or a partial upload until this happens. I force close all accounts at the deadline and process what is left there.

However....

I noticed that there is no specific source definition under the Main AMV Contest section. Does that mean the main contest can accept all content types while the Contest Circuit cannot? Or did you mean that the Main Contest uses the standard must be anime as defined by the org rule? Or some other content rule?

I accidently put my THROWBACK vid into Circuit instead of Action D: can that be changed?

Any requests to change the configuration of an entry's data can be accomplished by submitting an alter entry request in the entry system. Simply select alter entry button and fill out the form.
