Not gonna touch on the "pretension" assertion... :P
Initial impressions of Casshern Sins seem to be pretty positive, judging by reactions on various forums and on Twitter. I think it's great that Cartoon Network went with a bold choice and picked this show to add to the line-up. Regardless of what you may personally think of CS, I do think it's a series that everyone should see, if only to have an informed opinion on it.
