JOURNAL: Kireblue (Erik Norelus)

  • 10 Year Anniversary! 2015-12-31 07:45:31 Today officially marks my 10 year anniversary of being a video editor. It started out as just a hobby, but over the years, video editing has slowly integrated itself further and further into my life. Its become something that I truly love doing, and I'm so grateful for all the experiences and friendships that I've made because of it. I look forward to continually improving, learning and growing even more as an editor. So here's to another 10 years
  • Project Org Editor 2015 2015-06-27 11:06:54 We're just over a week away from the July 6th start of the 2015 Project Org Editor competition that I'm organizing this year. The competition has been on hiatus for the past two years due to CodeZTM becoming less active in the AMV community. But even so, it has always been very special to me, and I took pride in being one if its returning judges. And so for 2015, I decided to revive the competition with the help of Ghet, Camichan19, alchemymini, GuntherAMVs, MycathatesyouAMV and Xophilarus. All of us have worked very hard to analyze all the aspects of Project OrgEditor that people enjoyed, and improve on them to make the event even more enjoyable. We have also partnered with AnimeMusicVideos.org to be the host of the contest and MomoCon to be our prize sponsor. I hope that you all look forward to it :-)

    Summary
Project Org Editor 2015 will be a online AMV competition split into 6 preliminary/ non-elimination rounds and 2 single-elimination rounds. There will be no registration deadline, and anyone can enter the competition at any point during the preliminary rounds. At the start of each round, a theme will be revealed and participants will have the option to either edit a video for that round or skip it. At the end of each round, the submitted videos will then be judged on the following criteria and scored: Editing (20), Concept (20), and Enjoyability (10). At the end of the preliminary rounds, the top 3 round totals from each participant will be tallied, and the 8 highest scoring editors will move on to the single-elimination finals and semifinals.
