I was watching AMVs for a long time, but started making my own videos just in 2009.
My zeroth AMV, Debonair Saber v1.0, submission for KTA '09 (Polish AMV contest), was rather bad in many ways, so I haven't uploaded it here but YouTube.
In 2010 I finished my first AMV, Leviathan, which doesn't have many mistakes seen in my previous work. I doubted it can win any contest, but I sent it to a few, because competing is fun!
Surprising results:
- MondoCon Autumn 2010 AMV Contest (Oct 2, 2010)
^- qualified to top 20 - ended at 6th place
- EXP Con 2010 AMV Contest (Oct 8-10, 2010)
^- reportedly well received by the audience
- KuroKiiro Festival II AMV Contest (Nov 5-7, 2010)
^- qualified to the final
- Ikkicon V - AMV Contest (Dec 31, 2010 - Jan 2, 2011)
^- qualified to the final, 2nd in top 10 action, best amv overall
