• Comments: Shin Hatsubai video #51 isn't so much an AMV as an opening animation for a show without one. The music is a SH-original remix ("Vacant Planets remix") of the closer from Nevermore's album of the same name, and it's here, in the music rather than in the video, that the digital effects are to be found. Obviously, this is not the full version of the song, as the rest is almost totally at odds with the animation.
  
  I thought I was going to have to do a lot of MEIMI processing to make this one work, but it works fine without the effects; no need to put 'em in. The hisses and pops in the audio are meant to be there; they're in on the CD, and the effect created is so great that it's no wonder than Andy Sneap and the band left them in in the production process.
  
  
  Shin Hats Self Grade: A-. It's short, but it's quality front-to-back. I'm not real fond of the ending, but other than that, I like it a lot.
