  • Comments: Whooooa This video is pretty trippy. I just sort of heard the song one day while watching Mirrormask, and was like "What!?" and then i knew I needed to make a video. So then, I finished the basic structure of the video, and I was all, "This seems... lacking." so I threw in a bunch of other stuff O_O In the credits, I messed up the title, but I didn't realize that until i was encoding it, and at that point I was just saying "Screw it"

    Anime Stuff:
Metropolis spoilers ahead!!! (If you've seen it, you've probably seen the whole thing, though)
Basically I wanted to parallel Tima's destruction with that of the Ziggurat, adding with Kenichi's feelings into the mix. Basically, I came out with a delightful little Metropolis cake :D Mmmm Cake...

    Music stuff:
Well, I rented Mirrormask because I love Dark Crystal and Labirynth (spelling?) and this was sort of in the same vien (from the same studio/ concept thing) and while I had low hopes for it because I generally have low hopes for everything, I really enjoyed it, even if it was really just too goofy for words.

Anyway, this song actually has VERY LITTLE to do with the movie. Basically, this is where Helena is being pampered and this is supposed to be flattery. This song was originally done by a spooky looking band called "The Carpenters." I saw a picture of them... Smiling and stuff... so freaky O_O. I've never heard the original version and don't intend to. The first time I actually heard a version of this song was on a commercial for some freaking sweet cell phone. A Japanese dude sang it with a German dude when they had finished the phone. It was weird. However, I knew then i would be forever effected by the song.

Credit notes: The song is "Gravity's Angel" by Laurie Anderson on her "Mister Heartbreak" CD
