• Comments: Wow, this felt so great to do! I haven't done a purely action video since 'A Final Prayer' when I had just weaned myself from iMovie and was a bit starstruck by all the sweet stuff you could do once you upgrade. Well, there were trailers, I guess, but those weren't longer than a minute or so, and I had to be cautious about -spoilers-; I just got sucked into the whole drama/story-telling aspect of it all, forgetting my roots, as it were.
  
  DISSOCIATE: to disconnect or seperate from (someone or something)
  
  DISSOCIATED PERSONALITY: a rare dissociative disorder in which two or more personalities with distinct memories and behavior patterns apparently exist in one individual
  
  Both of these terms seemed very appropriate for this video. The first mostly for the song lyrics, while the second felt very similar to Kadaj's situation.
  
  STORY:
  No matter how hard I try, I guess I can't go completely without a story. Ah well. On the plus side, there's very little story-ness here, so this part won't be very long! Okay: Kadaj-centric, and his obsession with Jenova and Sephiroth. And ladies and gentlemen, I think that's it! Now on to the --
  
  PROCESS:
  Not only was this an attempt to see if I could still handle plotless editing, it was also a bit of a test. 'Hindsight' was the last vid I made that had some really tricky editing, though 'Faith' did have a second or two of it, but neither of those were -complete- craziness, so I wanted to see what I could accomplish if I -really- tried. There were about 75+ hours in this one, which is a lot for me for a two minute piece, considering I've put that long into much longer videos. I was experimenting with Color Style, and Tint, and Proc Amp, and near the end a little Compound Arithimetic. (Don't I sound -fancy-!) There isn't a single clip in there that is exactly the same as it was when I ripped it off the DVD, and there are, at last count, around 685 separate physical edits. Now I'm duly exhausted, and the next vid in the line-up doesn't look anywhere -near- as overwhelming (read: seizure-inducing).
