• Comments: My 3rd video is a Shinji Profile video to the Radiohead song "Creep." Now I am the first to say that this is very uncreative since the song lyrics complement the character easily and there are also tons of Shinji Profile videos out there. Regardless, I just *had* to do this video. Upon hearing this song (although not the first time), I could just "picture" at least 80% of the video and if I didn't go do it, it would probably bug me. I'm fairly sure most of you editors know what I'm talking about. Even in the early stages, I could "see" specific scenes and images that, thankfully, were reproduced (somewhat) in this video (Shinji with faces appearing to drumbeat climaxing to screaming and crosses, Shinji on the chair, etc.).
  
  Since a few people have complained about not understanding what the singer is singing, I have decided to post the lyrics. The lyrics are very important to this video, so feel free to peruse (and look at my shameless lyric sync eh MJ?) and hopefully you will gain further understanding or insight (not that I put any in :-P).

  As you can see, 70-80% of these lyrics are in some way synced. I guess some look down at this, but I for one think it goes very well with the song (especially given the context of the song and character). I guess I will one day write some of the more "pertinent" lyrics and imagery, but it's late and I'm tired.
  
  From a technical aspect, this is my first video to use "real" effects. In the past, I have only used transitions (fade to black, additive dissolve and cross dissolve) with maybe a few overlays and cheezy motion. Upon talking to Fluxmeister and getting some advice I have added a few Inverts and a Radial Blur. I hope they are at the appropriate places and hopefully do not distract the viewer (and hopefully adds to the video). Thanks Fluxy!
  
  Another important change made later on was going from cross fades to fade to blacks on the "main" section (not chorus). This was inadvertently brought about by MexicanJunior (he was advising me on something else and it spawned all this instead. Thank you!). I feel the fade to blacks make it a bit more dramatic since each scene can "sink-in" with the viewer and since I am going for a drama/character profile, I really want to capture an emotion (well at least that was what I was going for). Of course for the chorus, the song picks up and there is no way to use fade to blacks. I opted for the "good old" additive or cross dissolves.
  
  Equipment Used:

  Again I realize the lack of creativity in this video, but I wanted to do it and had a lot of fun and in the end that's what it's all about: having fun. After all, it's just a hobby. I hope you enjoy it!
