I started making this amv on 30 December 2006, because I've wanted to create an amv on this song ever since I first heard it. And now, I finally did it. ^_^
The video is based mainly on mood and lyrics sync, and of course beat sync. I separated it into four main parts + credits:
1 - Ah! My Goddess - the song is gentle and light, so I only used fades and beautiful footage.
2 - Hoshi No Koe/Pale Cocoon - With the beath that introduces the second part of the song, I start more action-like, but gradually calm the video down. This was the hardest part - I made 3 versions I didn't like (with AMG and Shakugan no Shana) and only that last attempt with Pale Cocoon and Hoshi no Koe satisfied me. But creating it was pure masochism, because of all the manual motion tracking involved >.<
3 - Beyond Clouds, The Promised Place - The part has a specific tune to it, of which I made full use, letting it to lead the tempo alongside the lyrics.
4 - Chrno Crusade - The song softens and then explodes again which results in beatsync and effects. Ends with some seconds of tight beatsync.
5 - Credits - I took me 2 hrs to render 12 secs, after which my Pc crashed. I send it to a friend of mine with core 2 duo + 2gb ram and he managed to render 25 out of 35 secs. So it is hardcore :P Created only with AfterFX
