    I've had the R2 of X the Movie for a while, so I decided I'd remaster it. The R2 is in anamorphic while the R1 is in letterbox. So its a little bit higher quality, the color is less washed out on the R2 and there is less pixelation and jagged edges and but after filtering it looks much better than the R1. Anyway its an improvement and the edits are all about the same except for a few ones I had to redo because the timecode is a few frames off on the R2 when matched to the R1.


    Original Comments:
    The idea for this video came to me right after I watched Transformers and got a copy of the OST. This was the first track on the OST as well as Smashing Pumpkins’ new Album. I had wanted to finish a full X AMV for a while now and this song seemed to fit the best for the Anime and seemed like the kind of song I could actually finish an X video to. There is quite a bit of lyrical synch in this video, some of which you may need to know about the actual anime to understand so here is a synopsis of the movie.

    At the millennial edge, the concluding battle for humanity’s future is staged. Kamui Shirou’s destiny has been decided as he returns to Tokyo to face his ultimate challenge. The Dragon of Heaven, defenders of the Earth, stand ready to protect the world from the Dragon of Earth, the seven angels of legend, who embrace the devastation of the planet to bring about its purification. Now Kamui must decide which side to fight for although he finds the idea utterly unappealing. It isn’t until realizing that his two childhood friends, Fuma and Kotori Monou, are in grievous peril that Kamui decides to step into his fated position in the climactic struggle of the Year of Destiny: 1999.

    The video follows Kamui’s struggle with his fate and his eventual acceptance of what he has to do. Throughout the anime he has to come to terms with the fact that his childhood friends are going to have to ultimately die and everyone he ever knew or loved will not survive the final battle. He fights against his fate and eventually accepts it and plays the role that he was destined to.
