  • Comments: By the time that this video went into production, it was Shin Hatsubai video #70, though the idea had been around since at least #34; this video was planned as video #35 before the capture card failed. This turned out to be a little bit of a positive, because it took shape a lot later in my career and, in all likelihood, ended up a lot closer to the original concept than it would have had I done it back then. For 'Other' read 'instrumental' or 'Gestalt'.

Some may wonder why an unabashed metalhead makes this video with a trancy, liquid, techno song. Some, though, are equally devoted to the underground and recognize this "Mirai Kawashima" character as the same Mirai who has been doing bass, vocals, synth, and assorted weirdness for Sigh (extreme odd Japanese black metal exemplars) since just about forever. Effects run to one deceleration and two clips layered with something else; pretty simple.

This video was developed for Otakon 2003, but if you're lucky enough to get the "Mind Corruption '03" CD-release from AniBo, it'll also be on there in impaired form.

The official title of this video is just the tilde character (~), but the database won't accept that as an official title, so you get the inclusion body above.

    Shin Hats Self Grade: B+/A-
Stats: #clips: 108. avg length: 2.54 sec. total time: 19.5 hours.

If you want to pay money for this song, which has never been commercially released in this form, a large chunk of it was taken up into the end of "Gavotte Grim", on Sigh's 2006 record Gallows Gallery.
