This video has been quite the enjoyment for me personally, I usually find myself being very unsatisfied with what I produce versus what I pictured for a music video. For this project I found myself swamped with ideas, this is probably why I was able to edit such a long song using a limited amount of footage. I pretty much fell in love with this song the first time I heard it, it's such a compelling song. I thought Valkyrie Profile to be the natural choice, when looking for footage because it fits so well with the mood I was looking for.
I tried to keep the effects limited as much as possible, because I didn't want to ruin the atmosphere for what I originally had in mind. At times I was a little edit happy on the beats, which I now see would have totally ruined the video (thank goodness for Clay) just goes to show you don't always need to edit in every beat you hear. So in the end I think it was a great learning piece for me, and I don't think I screwed it up too badly from what I had in mind from the beginning.
I'm so honored to be able to release my first video with ES you all have no clue, you are all an inspiration to me and I'm humbled that I can have my videos beside your's. I hope everyone enjoys this video because it's been a great experience for me.
