My entry in the first Iron Chef held by AMVParadise (an Italian forum about amvs). Song was given to us Friday at 3 pm. We had time to edit until midnight of Sunday (yesterday). Results still have to be announced, so I don't know how this placed in the contest, but I'm positive it got an high position (not the best as other videos were better than mine...).
It still isn't uploaded as I'm going to make a fixed version to adjust some mistakes that I made during the editing.
Now, about the amv itself...
When I heard the song I instantly thought about Akira... it seemed an obvious thing to me. Scene selection was also easy on almost the entire song, but sometimes I just didn't have any clue to what scene I should put, so it's not always good... especially in the choruses, where it *is* a bit plain and repetitive.
For the rest, I like it. I think I did a very good work on quality with this and also the video is generally good, still not the best of the contest I think...

EDIT: Oh, looks like this was almost crap. 8th place... and out of the 20 contestants, we remained in 12. I'm gonna make a v2 to this, but not in the very near future... eventually, I'll just fix the major bugs and upload it leaving it at crap status. Improving this might involve too much time... and I don't really feel like spend much time on an amv that was supposed to be just IC... and yet is crap even for an IC... :\
