This video is an Iron Chef vs. Meteor Dragon. The version here is slightly altered. I completed the vast majority of the video at the end of the two hours, and it stood as a coherent whole when time was up. I went back and tightened some transitions and eliminated some lipflap I simply did not have time to tackle during the original competition. It should be noted; it won.
The inspiration for this video is C-Ko's "Fields of Gold." A classic amv that is available here. For the time period it was produced, it was absolutely amazing. I have a few Miyazaki films ripped to my hard drive in case inspiration strikes. Luckily, Nausicaa was one of those when MD challenged me to an Iron Chef.
This is a sentimental character profile of Nausicaa, with mostly lyric sync. Although cleaned up, I did not want to stray far from the editing style I used in the competition itself. This is a classic style AMV, and it should be viewed with that in mind. It is dedicated to the older editors I watched and learned from in the late 90s and early 2000s. This isn't to say it doesn't have some aural sync, it certainly does.
