• Comments: There's not much to say about this video without sounding somewhat artsy or pompous.
  
  Grave of the fireflies has been one of the most depressing movies ive ever seen. It's ledgendary for making people weep. So what do i do. Not Comedy, that would be rather disrespectful to this film (I'm looking at you AMV hell, it's just not funny not matter how hard you try)
  
  So i decided to make something that would actually be uplifting while at the same time holding the same kind of feelings that GOTF has.
  
  While watching the movie and making this vid several things happened and even several songs. For a change a vid concept stayed through and the song changed. First i had Chicago in mind from guitar freaks. I quickly realized that wasn't really going to work.
  
  Later i realized that GOTF is really a ghost story, your seeing a bunch of phantoms who are allready dead showing you how they died. It's a rather morbid movie. It was at this point i thought of using Boingos Heard Sombody Cry, since the person in that is dead and doesn't realize it. In that concept the entire vid was leading to him discovering his corpse at the end of the vid and that was it. While i liked the ending of this i realized the lead in was too much also given the nature of how people feel about GOTF. It was the most DMRA style like just didn't quite work out to what i was feeling.
  
  So it went to the current song also by Oingo Boingo. TO make al ong story short someone who was my friend stabbed me in the back and it took a while to get over it. This was a song i listened to a lot then and it really helped me. SO the final concept came to do something that would do to GOTF what that song had done to me. Take pain and turn it to joy.
  
  This is probubly the closest i'll get to the whole water to wine deal. Hope you enjoy.
