This is my second AMV, made by request of my fiance for his birthday next week. He picked the anime, I did the video. It took me a while to sift through the episodes and bonus material, find the clips I needed, and edit them and place them accordingly, but I'm happy with how it turned out. The song just made things fit together that much better to me.
So it turns out I was wrong about my source footage being of abysmal quality. I went back and looked at it again, and the quality was really good. I then looked at my clip files, and realized they were saved in DivX format. :( So here is the promised remaster, with fresh new encodes and a few other tweaks.
This vid's tweaks, in order of importance/note:
1) Video quality. Even though my laptop's hard drive hates me for it, all the clips used here (except the end credits) were encoded with Huffyuv. If you saw the original, you'll see this is a HUGE improvement.
2) Minor clip tweaks. I edited a few clips differently, as I felt their actions were being lost in the transitions. Hopefully, this helps with that.
3) Timing. There were a couple tiny spots where the timing of the clips was bothering me. In conjunction with item #2, I altered the timing enough to eliminate those sticky spots.
