  • Comments: With this, Shin Hatsubai video #74, the broom is lashed to the the mast: I've now done AMVs using Sentenced to every Kenshin artstyle (movie == TV; Seisouhen != Remembrance). This one is just a good old-fashioned drama video, a lot like #65 was trying to be, but ofcourse more tragic.

Spoilers are pretty limited, actually (no gore/leprosy shots), but if you know that falling sakura petals mean Time Of Loss And Change in Japanese, the ending is pretty much given right away.

In terms of effects, there is one strobe (done over a crossfade, no less), some text removal, a color-wash that isn't what it appears to be, and one motion-blurred deceleration. Also, the whole video was rebalanced post production to make it look like the animators intended.

    Questions answered:
Didn't you miss the hit on the first vocal entrance?
No. I thought I did at first, but then decided to leave the entrance as it is, in the middle of a static clip, as it brings out the lack of action and depressing feel in the audio track.
What's the shot of the moon for?
Half of it is arty video motif, but since it doesn't appear again, it's also half so that people know this is the resolution this anime is supposed to be at. Non-Academy-ratio Seisouhen videos are WRONG!
What the hell does the title mean?
See SH067 and listen to both The Cold White Light and the soundtrack for the Remembrance OVA.

Shin Hats Self Grade: B+/A-. It's a good video, but probably not a world breaker.
