  For my first drama video, I wanted to do a character profile for one of my favorite anime characters, D (from the aptly-named Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust). I still love the artwork from VHD, and I love the movie even though it's a bit dated and has been used for many an AMV before mine. Basically, I wanted to explore the D's inner struggle between hunting vampires while being a half-vampire himself.
  
  The song "The Bird and the Worm" is a perfect fit. Not only is the mood of the music dark and disturbing, the lyrics also convey D's fear of giving in to his darker side and losing control of himself:
