• Comments: I kind of made this video as a challenge to myself. After finishing my AWA Pro video, I really wanted to do something different. When I set out to do this, I laid out some ground rules for myself to make sure I produced something different:
  
  1. Only stills
  2. Only crossfades
  3. No precision syncing - everything is synced by eyeballing the timeline and whether or not it "feels" right on the preview
  4. No outside input
  5. Finish in one day
  
  The first two rules were probably unconsciously influenced by Sonic & The Black Knight. I've been watching a Let's Play of the game recently and while it does have a host of problems, the way it handles cutscenes is a bit interesting. Nothing actually moves, but stills are crossfaded to generate some pseudo-movement, which I replicated here. I also threw on a few filters to try to imitate the visual style, but I don't know how well that worked out. Not very well, probably, but who cares.
  
  Down the line, rule #3 had to go. After watching my first export, I had an incredibly sour taste in my mouth, feeling far too reminiscent of those god awful "slideshow AMVs" you find on YouTube. As a result, I had to go and readjust my entire timeline, which ended up nullifying rule #5. Even so, I think I spent more time exporting and encoding this video than I did editing it, so I'm not gonna worry too much about not living up to the "fast and loose" theme I had going for the project at the outset.
  
  Anyways, I'm not sure how to feel about this video. I think there are some pacing issues at several points, but which points and how bad the issues are seems to change every time I view the video. Sometimes I think I should sync more, sometimes I think I should sync less. I figure this draft is as good as any to release, and if you don't like it, I totally get why.
  
  Additionally, for those of you with keen ears, yes this is Tails' theme song from Sonic Adventure. An arrangement with a touch of uniqueness, for once.
