  What I Say:
  
  First there was Dan Rather doing the CBS Evening News.
  
  Then there was the Evolution Control Committee ( http://evolution-control.com ), who recorded months of Dan Rather, then put his quotes over top of a cut up and rearranged AC/DC groove to create "Rocked by Rape".
  
  Then I came along, cut out the 2nd and 3rd verses, and made this video.
  (Someday, when I've got more series from which to take footage, I may do the entire song...)
  
  
  Notes:
  
  In addition to Evangelion, I also included one tiny little scene from Monty Python and the Holy Grail. It was too perfect not to use (you'll see what I mean).
  The only spoiler I can think of is the identity of the 17th angel, but it's implied (albeit heavily) rather than explicitly stated.
  
  Lip synching is mostly of Gendo (who basically takes on the role of Dan Rather). Digital effects include lipovers, split-screening (though in one case, it's well-nigh impossible to tell it's there), adjusting clip speeds (quite a bit of that), bend plus hue and saturation (to get a hallucinogenic feel), and I think that's it.
  
  Just so you know: It's 1 minute and 48 seconds, NOT 1 hour and 48 minutes.
  
  Update: Apparently, a week after I finished this video and made it available for download, DjScratchOlot did a video to the same song, entitled "Evening News with Pretty Sammy!"... but I didn't know it existed until months later. Check it out.
