    (Everything below is history.)
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This will be my first video since 2006. I've had a nagging urge that eventually morphed into visualizations for quite some time now. "Son et Lumiere" and "Inertiatic ESP" from the Mars Volta has held me hostage since I first heard them some years ago. I've broadened my editing knowledge and have access to some serious metal. I've begun work on this project today using the by now old and busted footage from Final Fantasy: Advent Children. The visuals already share a great deal with the flow and terror from the music, so despite how over-used the material may be, I'm going for it.

My goal is to have this completed in less than 2 months.

    Here we go!

    Update July 28th, 2009:
I have my first rough cut so far of what I have edited together. A little over 2 minutes of footage is cut together. I like where I am taking this so far, but have a long, long way to go. Making cuts has taken very little time, but the effects and refining will take quite some time. My goal is to finish this in 2 months... After what I have accomplished in 2 days worth of editing, I feel that length is under-ambitious, haha.

    Update July 30th, 2009:
The second rough is out now. I tweaked some things in the beginning and adjusted the audio levels in the "Son Et Lumiere" portion of the video. The levels there start too quietly and eventually end up too loud, so anybody who would watch it would have needed to adjust the volume on their computer, tv, etc...
Another minute of video has been edited together.
