• Comments: Project: Editor has started its second cycle, and this time I decided to join in on the party. I made this video for the first round challenge, in which the theme was 'favoritism'. Each competitor was told to make a video tribute to one of our top 5 favorite anime, which we selected when we signed up. Case Closed was the last of my five shows to make it onto the list, and I actually bumped another title off to get Conan on there.
  
  It was lucky for me I did that, because otherwise I wouldn't have been able to make this video. I originally thought of this combination back in late 2006 (maybe early '07) shortly after I started watching the USA original series Psych on a regular basis. For one reason or another, I never got around to actually laying any clips down for it (or even ripping the discs in the first place) until this year, when Anime North's theme contest revived this concept for me. I made a different video for that, but now it's finally been put together.
  
  My clip selection was based off of the opening of the season four episode "Shawn Has The Yips", and I was afraid that my video would look like a completely disorganized mess if a viewer didn't recognize the connection until I added the titles. Despite not being able to match the fonts perfectly, the names bring the whole thing together a lot more cohesively for me. They also cover some of the lipflap, which is nice too.
  
  I came in second place for Round 1, and two of the judges gave me special awards for the round. Code awarded it the "Personal Favorite" award, and mirkosp presented it with the "Psych" award. I wonder if he knows that the song is from the TV series Psych too...
