• Comments: Here is my video in the fifth Video Game project. After submitting such poor work for VG4, though, I really wanted to redeem myself. Because of this, I put more effort into this video than any other video I've made before. Tweek of www.ocremix.org released this remix of a Pokemon Red song some time around the deadline of the previous project, so I decided to finally bring the original Pokemon game to the big screen.
  
  My original concept for this video used Yu-Gi-Oh! instead of Dead Leaves, and it focused on Bandit Keith taking down Team Rocket using his monsters from his deck out of rage at not being allowed to join at Nugget Bridge. It didn't take me long to realize that such an idea would require loads of text, which wouldn't be legible in such a short video.
  
  So I searched around my DVD collection to see what would be similar enough to Pokemon to use (besides the Pokemon anime, which would be difficult to make interesting), and somehow Dead Leaves clicked into my mind. I think it was the jail cell scene which connected them for me. I mistakenly thought that the room with the beds was in Rocket's hideout beneath Celadon, but when I played through the game again to record my footage I found out it was actually in the Silph Co. building. I ended up working in both areas, as well as some completely unrelated places like S.S. Anne and Rock Tunnel, but I think it turned out pretty well.
