Yup, this is just a giant "I love Gurren Lagann" video =p
While I am a believer in the "drama videos should be able to convey a story to you without seeing the series" idea, this video will more than likely look like a bunch of random drills to anyone who hasn't seen the show.
I'm not a good editor, eat me :P

The basic idea, while it makes perfect sense to me of course >_>, tends to confuse some people....
Throughout the show Simon and the others are constantly fighting against the odds just for the chance to live a normal happy life. While things start out rather simple, there always seems to be a trigger that causes things to go into crazy mode...that would be, Simon falling in love.

His first childhood fancy has to do with Yoko. When he sees Kamina kiss her the night before a major fight, he kinda goes into shock. This distraction causes him to lose sight of the battle, and in a way, ultimately results in Kamina's death. This gives Simon an even greater challenge than the one he was already facing. Without Kamina leading him and the others to victory, he breaks down and loses sight...until he finds Nia...

This is when the video jumps into the future. He's with Nia, in love, engaged and everything in the world is about to be perfect until the moon gets ready to crash down upon them all. Nia, the one he has given his heart and soul to, is now the one he must defeat and save. Betrayed by the ones closest to him, Simon is once again forced to take up arms to fight incredible odds.

This is when the video all comes together. The past and the present become one as Simon fights for love and for the ability to finally live his normal life. His ordinary world.

Kinda the chronicles of him growing up and the old idea of how the past always repeats itself.
In the end, everything but the chorus can eat me. I hated editing you and I hope someone punches your mother.

This video was started way back when I first finished watching Gurren Lagann, but I only just finished it for Nan Desu Kan this year. I'm not totally happy with the way it came out, but I think Gurren fans will enjoy it.

    Either way, have fun ;)
