This is my first time making a lip syncing AMV!!! XD
This video was actually a lot of fun to make. My friend Sarah gave me the initial idea to use Hetalia to "I'll Make a Man Out of You" from Mulan ^-^ I thought of finding the German version right before starting to edit.
I own Season 1 and 2 of Hetalia on DVD. So I used my Avid Mojo to digitize all the footage from the DVDs. All the cuts, lip syncing and text were done in Avid Xpress Pro. The masking of the last scene, the bouncing Italy head and the end credits were done in Adobe After Effects CS4. The boucing head and China with Mushu were edited in Photoshop.
The hardest parts were the lip syncing were there was a zoom out or Germany's head moved too much. The hardest was the end scene. Germany raising his fist and the Italy army running away are actually 2 different scenes. I had to cut Germany out and put it over the timed clip of Italy running away. I also had to put in the sketchy border again because the 2 clips' borders did not animate the same.
