Our newest AMV, finished late Spring of 2011, it is a fun upbeat AMV with all the Evangelion fun set to the music of GLEE.

Not necessarily a comedy, action or drama AMV, it is has a little of everything for everyone. Originally premiered at Fanime 2011, it won Best in Category and Audience's pick for Best In Show.

Conceptually wise this was our most difficult video to make, however our idea seemed simple: Create an AMV with our own mash up of GLEE songs set to the new Evangelion movies but not make it in the style of AMV Hell videos.

Little did we know that we would spend months figuring out which songs to use and in what order to create the perfect mix of drama, action and fun.

We listened to nearly every GLEE song done by the cast and constantly changed the songs we were planning on using.

The opening song had to fit right to open the AMV, while not giving too much away. The last song had to crescendo with a very strong ending. The middle songs had to keep up the pace while keeping the audience engaged.

The songs finally used were (in order):

    Don't Stop Believing - Journey
    Bad Romance - Lady GaGa
    Bohemian Rhapsody - Queen
Anyway You Want It - Journey
    Lovin' Touchin' Squeezin' - Journey

We were originally going to open with Highway to Hell but the transition to the next song didn't quite fit with the pace of the video. The songs kept changing and changing until we finally settled on the list above.

Once finally getting the songs figured out and in what order they would run we had to put the songs together at the right points while making the transitions make sense to the viewer

The Bohemian Rhapsody sequence was meant as the turnaround for the entire AMV.

Building up with Journey then Bad Romance it was meant to bring the audience down quietly to listen to the muffled tune in Shinji's his ear buds to then juxtapose by suddenly cut off and slam into Anyway You Want It.

The to the relief of the audience that they will not have to sit through 6 minutes of Bohemian Rhapsody while we still payed homage to Evangelion Opus. The original Bohemian Rhapsody Evangelion video.

The editing of the music was almost nearly as difficult as editing a regular AMV. Several songs had to be chopped down and meshed to shorten them and others had to be manipulated with effects, such as the record player slow down effect.

This AMV is meant to be fun, it isn't a comedy or action or comedy. It's just fun, it's Anyway You Want It.
