Started this project in 2009 after watching Dragonball and Dragonball Z for the first time. I wanted to edit with something that was silly, upbeat or "cartoony" - after browsing through movie soundtracks and Disney music I came across this song and for some reason, thought it would be hilarious... at the time.
Most of my Dragonball footage came from fansubs, since the DVDs weren't out at the time. I put the project on hold once I heard about Funi's upcoming box set releases, so I could replace the footage I had with the shiny DVDs. Once I had the first set, I ripped a chunk of footage and started replacing some scenes. Unfortunately, the box sets were released months apart, and I got bored with the project - it got scrapped for while.
I also had a lot of technical problems with this. Since I was using a variety of sources, I had issues with aspect ratio, colours, and glitches with the mix in general.
When I had a look at an old beta about a couple months ago, I decided that it's too close to being done to leave it as it was. However I had lost my master project file some how, and my only copy was a cheap xvid. So I ended up importing that beta into vegas and filling in the empty spaces.
Even though the visual quality isn't all that hot, I'm happy I got around to finishing it. It's a fun video to watch even though the music... isn't for everyone, to say the least ^^;
