  • Comments: In contrast to the other 3 videos in Project Haibane, SH #78 (part 4) explores the dark side of the series, hopefully to good effect. It and #75 ('worn soule') are the real essentials. A bit of a Reki profile, but it turned into more of a profile of Reki and Rakka's relationship.

    Effects are still mostly simple; tuning the ghosted layer of the crow in that landscape pan early on took a while, but it's still good old Avisynth. The rest is my custom progressive fade, some h-flips, and one or two pop-blur decelerations. Oh yeah, and the inverted grayscale as Reki's clone decomposes. That's not so simple or transparent.

    There are some gory shots in this one (such as the wings tearing their way out of Rakka's back), so watch at your own caution.
