  The theme of SH125 among the "Flag of Hate" retraining initiative was effects and their proper use, and despite the hard push at the end, I think I hit my marks. I learned a little more about what I can do with Magix and how to do it, did a couple effects curves for the first time in like ten years, and also learned more about what I can do in AviSynth and VDub, and how to go about doing that. I continue to prefer to let the animation do my work for me -- these ideas are originated off of the images of the animation I have in mind, of course the natural pace, style, and color balance are going to end up being mostly what I'm looking for in cutting the video together -- but when that's not possible or less desirable, I have a good enough toolkit at my disposal, and the knowledge to use it intelligently, competently, and tastefully. Well, "tastefully" may be pushing it a little with regard to triggers, even here.
  
  Shin Hats Self Grade: B. This is a decent video, but it's overstylized, to some degree intentionally. The music is mostly able to carry it, but I'm doing things here to play around with video composition that don't necessarily have a great link to any particular guiding concept.

  About the sources: Katalepsy are still as bloody-minded as they were on SH124. This video spoils the decent short movie HAL to somewhere between "moderately" and "completely", so watch that first if you haven't yet, you won't regret the hour or so. I was on the fence about doing a trailer card with Inquisition or Beheaded Zombie, but the song I wanted to use in the latter case is booked against a theoretical video in the mid-130s, and I also spent the night before final production of this one watching over older SH videos, and missed the no-credit style, so no credits on this one.
