However, this year, getting a video idea for the con was taking longer than planned. This is due to a combination of both ideas that I considered for Accolades not going as I hoped for and me being busy with the Animemes MEP project (I have so much AMV Hell-style video ideas in my head).

One day, while on the job, I was thinking about the 2021 Pro Contest and how some of the more enjoyable songs that I saw when judging that one were stuff that pertain to the "kiddie" theme (i.e a child song version of "Bodies", an AMV using "The Bunny Song" from Veggietales). When thinking about possible songs that could fit that theme this year, I thought of Lazytown and all the songs that basically become hits on the Internet. It is there that I remember the one episode where Robbie Rotten rigs an election to steal the job of Lazytown's mayor away from Stephanie's uncle, with him becoming a secret agent in order to get his job back, complete with the cast singing a song about it. I also remembered that Spy x Family was on my list of shows that I wanted to make a regular AMV for (as I already used it for one of my Animemes clips). As such, I realized that I could do a fun little character profile of the show's male lead, Loid Forger (AKA Twilight), using this song.

As I edited the video, I eventually realized two big problems that I had to deal with when it came to making the video. The first problem is that whereas the song is based around the romanticized world of spies that the James Bond franchise inspired, Spy x Family tends to depict a more realistic take of the world of spies. The other problem is that the show mixes the spy stuff with slice-of-life comedy, with much of big spy action in the first cour being limited to the first two episodes, the first-cour finale (where Loid has to retrieve some microfilm that was hidden in the throat of a penguin), and an episode involving Loid acting out an episode of Anya's favorite TV show, Spy Wars. Heck, one episode was pretty much unusable in terms of editing because it was a "dodgeball episode" that featured very little of Loid. I nearly considered holding off finishing the video until the second season aired (while saving it for Katsucon). However, a week with my mind away from the project was all I needed to complete it in time for AWA, where it got nominated for a few categories in the Accolades.
