  • Comments: Lupin III is a fairly new love of mine. It was only last January this theif stole my heart while I was watching Adult Swim. Now here it is only 7 months later and I have seen the 5 movies, the two OVA's, all but two of the TV specials, the pilot short, a fairly good chunk of the first and second TV serrai and up to volume 10 of the manga. But I am shocked to see what a weak fan base it has in the united states even though it it a classic in Japan. That just won't do. I mean, what's there in Lupin III that's not to love? Action to rival James Bond, comedy, randomness, 5 lovable characters that make up a somewhat disfunctional family...and two of which are involved in a sexy but very different kind of romance...

    That's right! My first AMV features the much overlooked love of Lupin III and Fujiko Mine. I chose the TV episodes and Movies with care. The first ones that I had to include were my personal favorite Da Capo of Love: Fujiko's Unlucky Days and The Mystery of Mamo which, in my opinion, is the best presentation of their relationship:

    First of all, although Fujiko often betrays Lupin, she usually has an alterior motive behind it that benifits the both of them...she does things her own way. I believe that Fujiko loves Lupin in the depths of her soul. This is more than just a one sided lust relationship of Lupin after Fujiko like a wolf. Lupin also has a problem keeping his pants on when Fujiko starts to reveal her true feelings.

    But such is the wolf, who does have a big heart for the beautiful woman in red.
