  • Comments: This idea started with a silly question that popped up on the SpiritDetective.com forum: how does Hiei manage to get his hair to stand up like that? In the conversation, someone suggested that he probably used Makai Essences conditioner and Makai Springs soap. And, the way my crazy mind works, I began thinking that it could be a pretty funny commercial.

    Many ideas of how to approach this came up (including having Genkai say, "If you think that was great, try the body wash!") but I ultimately settled upon the idea of having Kurama use the product and Karasu comment on how soft his hair feels (for those of you not familar with Yu Yu Hakusho, Karasu kind of loves Kurama...and Karasu destroys anything he loves.)

    The extremely talented Jon Allen voices Kurama, Karasu, and the announcer at the end (thank you very much, Jon!) and the narrator is my own silly self (recorded between fire alarm "tests" at my apartment building.)
