  • Comments: This is my third AMV, and perhaps even tops "Hurt" for style.

    I did this one the same as the others: Windows MovieMaker 2.0, final encoding in WMA/WMV, but this one is at a slightly higher bitrate. I'll be playing around with XVID later on, but didn't feel like it with this project.

    I first heard this song on an AMV done by Kusoyaro Productions (Hsien Lee's "Anime Passion: Possession") which I downloaded and watched four years ago, and it stuck with me all this time. That AMV suffered from poor source quality, but the scene selection and editing makes it one of the most haunting pieces of video I've ever seen. When I started doing AMVs early last year, I knew I'd have to try that song again with my video collection of Sango and Miroku moments.

    The song just fits them so well - to quote Red Kross, "It's a sick, sick love." They don't quite fall over each other so much as slam into each other. The fight sequence in Episode 132 clinched it - a literally possessed Sango slashing the hell out of Miroku is a perfect complement to the precussion after the last chorus.

    The lyrics match up well, and I hope there's enough of a theme evident to make the video coherent.
