  • Comments: First..if you've never seen the movie Candyman..do so. Second...if you've never heard of Phillip Glass..you're about to.

One of my favorite composers and pianist...Phillip Glass's works are incrediable, and include works in movies such as Bram Stokers Dracula.

Candyman is based on one of Clive Barkers short stories, about an urban ledgend come to life (much in the same vein as Bloody Mary) and is worth the rental fee to see it.

This video was another that I had started awhile back and then let be in pursuit of other ideas. But a dark mood and some free time brought me back to it.
Hellsings first episode is the one that hooked me the most on the series, about how Alucard could be so fierce, yet at the end so gentle with Seras as he brought her over. The first episode also sold me on Seras herself..especially when he says most usually close their eyes and she only smiles at him. I'm rather fond of the strong herione types as opposed to the girly girls you sometimes get. Which is why I only used the first episode in this vid.
To put Phillip Glass's music with this only seemed natural to do. The whole feel of the show is in this music, and I thought it was perfect to use to show the capture..battle and bringing over of Seras.
I used nothing more than simple fades in this vid. I didn't think that it need flashy effects and that if anything it would detract from the overall mood of the video.

The quote used in the intro is from Interveiw With A Vampire and as is follows:
"Life has no meaning any more, does it? The wine has no taste, the food sickens you, there seems no meaning for any of it, does there? But what if I could give it back to you? Pluck out the pain and give you another life, one you could never imagine, and it would be for all time. Sickness and death could never touch you again. Don't be afraid, I'm going to give you the choice I never had."

I thought it went along with what I had to a tee.

Hopefully you'll enjoy the vid. The only problem I have with it is that on some of the panning right to left shots seem a little jerky..but I never could figure out how to fix this =/

I also listed one of the songs wrong on the credits >< Return to Cabrini should be It Was Always You, Helen instead.
