  Hello! This is my 4th full video project (not counting various lil' multieditor things). The title is "Trifecta." Why is it a trifecta? Well, for those of us who do not know much about horse racing, picking a trifecta means determining (correctly) the first, second, and third place finishers in a race. This, as you can imagine, is extremely hard, and the odds are thus very high. In other words, if you can pull it off, you've just made a lot of money.
  
  Now, in AMVs, one isn't interested in money, and as for me, I'm not all that interested in recognition. But, I would like to know I have created something intense, something that gratifies my need to feel like an 'artiste.' And, with this video, I may have indeed pulled off the trifecta, the high-odd combination.
  
  The subtitle is "An Ascent Into Madness." Normally, one descends into madness, but for Ichise, the main character of Texhnolyse, the journey is uphill, to a more rarefied madness, since he's quite nutty to begin with.
  
  There are three elements to this video (hence, the 'trifecta' again). One is the anime, Texhnolyse, which is pretty strange. The second is the music, "Muzak for cybernetics" by Man or Astroman?, which is an even stranger song. The third is the poem "my mind is" by the poet e.e.cummings. Both the video and the poem have been cut into 'clips' to fit the song. This is another high-risk, high-odd thing. Because of the text, you miss some of the action; because of the action, you miss some of the text. But because of the song, they are tied together into something more than the sum of the parts, a 'trifecta.'
  
  Okay, I'm getting pretentious. Will anyone understand this video? I'm not sure *I* understand this video. But go ahead and watch it.
  
  NOTE:
  I tried to avoid intensely graphic scenes...but there is some blood. So, be aware. I'm fairly sure this is within .org guidelines as to violence(no organs, no 'spraying' blood).
