This was my first dramatic AMV. It didn't win anything at its premiere in Dallas, but a year later, on a whim, I showed it at AWA and it won Best Composition.
As with all my pre-2000 videos, I made this with a camcorder and VCR. This was also the first video I ever made in a single night's editing. When the idea hit me, it was too powerful to take a break from. I marathonned it, leaning over that damn little black-and-white viewfinder for 12 hours. You can score me low on a lot of things for this video, but Effort isn't one of them. ^_-
Anyway, it's a bit of a tear-jerker if you've seen this sequence in Root Carnival. I know it gets me choked up every time.
