What can I say. It was my first music video. I don't think it was the greatest, but I put a very worthy effort into it. Considering I had to go through 3 capture cards before I could finally finish it. I explain a lot of this stuff in my really long profile.
Now the whole idea behind this video was all based upon the song title My Own Prison. I tried to portray the Eva as Shinji's prison. I thought I did it pretty well, but unfortunately there were several clips that I didn't use Eva unit 1. I thought I followed the words pretty well at most points and I tried to sync a lot of the beats to the changing of clips or a pounding of something (Like when Eva unit 1's arm goes flying into the wall. That was cued up to a beat) And at the end I kinda tried to go all out. I don't think it turned out incredibly good, but I am really happy with the ending. The dissolve from the quick flashes to Shinji in the chair I really liked. The odd thing is that I originally used the ending clip in the beginning with the title of the song over top the pic, but I took that out when Scott said it wasn't capturing his attention. So I fiddled around until I figured out a better opening and I am also happy with that. All and all I thought I did pretty well for my first video. I learned many new things since the making of this video and I am going to utilize all those new ideas into making a better video. (Actually I am thinking about re-doing this video sometime in the future.) For now though I would have to say that my video is on the range of a C+ to a B-.
