This is a Chichiri profile video, featuring him, Tasuki, and Tamahome. You will see little to no Miaka in this video, but the other seishi get screentime. In the series, I think Chichiri was closest to Mitsukake, and Tasuki to Nuriko, so those two get more focus than Hotohori or Chiriko.
The idea for this - as if the song wasn't clearly made for Chichiri's past with Hikou - is 'left behind'. Forsaken = abandoned. I imagine it as a sort of supplication, a prayer (hence the beginning), and I think it fits what Chichiri says to Tasuki, that no one is really complete, so humans can't survive alone.

The song: I've seen one vid for this song a few years ago, a Rurouni Kenshin video that looked at Sano and Kenshin. That's the only video I've watched for this song, so I don't know or care if it's been used before.
