Comments:
This is my second AMV creation and by far much better than my first.
I worked on this video for approximately 55 hours (not counting encoding time) in late January and early February of 2005. I initially planed to enter this video solely in Anime Boston's AMV contest but, at the behest of others, I began to enter it in other cons for fun. I don't think I really have a chance of winning anything, but I think the idea is funny and it might work on some level with AMV lovers out there.
For software, I used Adobe Premiere Pro 1.5 and the tools of the AMV APP offered in the guides section.
*notes*
The Taijitsu for Dummies" book art was created by my friend Dan G. for this project at my request,
Thanks Dan :)
The subtitles were done (physically made, not conceptualized) by my good buddy JMS because he already had the software on his computer and I was too lazy to do them myself.
A full DVD box art scan (that I used when submitting the video to cons that I actually prepared in advance for) can be found here: http://img80.exs.cx/img80/699/tfdcoverfinal0hs.jpg
In the video, the book front was just placed over the hearts and resized/moved every frame. This whole process took about seven hours total o.o;; I think it was worth it though. For the Tsunade scene, multiple color replaces had to be used in conjunction with an image mask though it still didn’t turn out exactly how I wanted it to.
As far as my progress goes, I think I have decent lip-synch and timing with this… Effects, on the other hand, are a bit lacking. I actually made an effect (through a combination of Premiere-based effects) that was used several times in the multitude of fight sequences in the middle of the video, but the filters I put the video through to clean it up dulled the effect a bit. The result looks more like a flashing white screen, but it was actually a six-frame blur/contrast/brightness thing.
That’s about it… Enjoy.
