• Comments: This is a dvd remaster of the original Japanese Idiot video, my third amv. When I originally made this, only the fansubs were available. At that time, I really wanted to make an amv and I didn't see many 2x2 = Shinobuden amv's out then either (there still really aren't many 2x2 = Shinobuden only amv's out there aside from MEP stuff); so I decided to make one. In the process, I wanted to a) get some attention for the series and b) show off some of the zaniness of the series. A song about being an "idiot" (loosely anyhow) seemed appropriate for 2x2 = Shinobuden; so I chose Green Day's "American Idiot".
  
  Anyhow, some time later, 2x2 = Shinobuden was licensed and released (I'm still shocked that it was) under the name Ninja Nonsense. Having finally gotten the dvd's back at the end of June 2008, I set out to remaster the amv scene for scene with no changes whatsoever. This is the end result: it's a lot cleaner and the subs have been done away (back when I was started to make amv's, I wouldn't have cropped them out).
  
  It was a lot of fun to remaster this actually. I could really see how I've changed/grown as an editor. In fact, during the whole process I was inspired to do a complete remake of the video. I just finished it back in November. It's titled Return of the Japanese Idiot.
