I made this as another inbetween-video, something to play around with while going to and fro with more important videos. It started off as just a simple fun action video that eventually became a symbol of determination and self-confidence, feelings that I hope others will experience as they watch this video. :)
This went through three or four re-edits before I was truly satisfied with it. I wanted the driving emotion of the video to be easily experienced while still encompassing a fair amount of adrenaline to the viewer. Determining which effects and editing techniques to use, add or take out was the crucial factor for this, lest I end up with scenes going by too quickly or being too flashy to be recognized while watching.
The ending piece (that uses "Fur Elise") was added on when I realized that the first song wouldn't be able to work with World Record's conclusion. The end of "He's a Pirate" was far too fast for it, especially since the song itself ends rather abruptly.
