Oy.. I haven't had to write one of these in quite a long time. Oh well, I will try to be short and to the point.
Coldplay has been one of my favorite bands for a very long time (specifically back when Parachutes first came out). So, in delving into Coldplay's music, I discovered their first album release which was their 4 song 'Blue Room EP'. It was an understandably freshman effort, but it contained one song that resonated with me a LOT, and that was the song 'See You Soon'. Even now that their 3rd full-length album has come out, I still consider See You Soon to be my favorite Coldplay song. So naturally, with most songs that I really love and listen to a great deal, the AMV creator in me started to formulate scenes and ideas.
The original idea for this video was not going to use various source at all. I actually at first only wanted to use Chrono Crusade. That might have ended up working, except the more I thought about it, the more I realized what a universal concept of loss and revelation was in the anime that I watched. So I started going through my sources and found things that I knew I wanted to use, and began the process.
I actually made this video back in March/April 2005 as my entry at Anime Central 2005. After it didn't win anything there, I submitted it to Otakon 2005's contest, where it did not make the finals. Thus why it's just now being put online. I really hope you all like it as much as I do. This is one video that I can honestly say that I did what I set out to accomplish and I feel strongly about every scene.
