This video was originally going to a Guild Wars 2 fan vid celebrating the release of the first expansion: Heart of Thorns. In a way that was very similar to the original "Where the Hell Is Matt" video, it was going to feature my player character visiting all sorts of landmarks and places and...doing a dancing emote on top of them. However even today I don't have a computer that allows me to push GW2 to its graphical limits. And so that idea was put on hold for a while.

I then entertained the idea of using the song for a Disney tribute. I had recently stumbled across the fan map showing what parts of the world many Disney animated films took place. But that idea again fell by the wayside as "The Awesome '90s!!!" became more of a thing.

I wouldn't take this song off the shelf again until I first played Breath of the Wild back when it was released in March 2017. It was during the cut scene from the top of the last Shikah tower that I knew I have found my video source. How many places had I visited? How many sunrises had I seen? How many people had I met? I splurged on a capture card and played through the entire game twice. Some parts were repeated during the day and night hours just to see if one looked better than the other.

There are story spoilers. Being the first BOTW video recorded on the Org, I took the liberty of making it more of a summary AMV. There are lots of story spoilers and it is bookended by the same beginning and ending shots of the original game. The one thing I tried to preserve is what Calamity Ganon actually looks like. I even go so far as to show the chamber the final fight takes place in, but I don't give the viewer a good look at Calamity Ganon. Also if a spoiler in the game lines up with previous Zelda conventions (such as Zelda having evil sealing light powers), I didn't really shy away from that.
