- Profile: An animator by trade, I figured I'd try my hand at making AMVs.
I've loved anime ever since I saw G-Force: Battle of the Planets (Gotchaman) and Speed Racer when I was a little kid. After losing interest after the Robotech series wrapped up, I was re-acquainted with anime back in college when I checked out a screening of Akira in '90.
Since then I've watched just about everything put in front of me, but I'm not as die-hard a fan as most people around here, I'd imagine. I tend to watch for a different reason (mainly art and animation techniques) when I watch an anime, and due to that reason I don't have a lot of patience for lower budget animes.
So, I haven't seen the complete collections of the more popular animes around here, and until I do, I can't offer an opinion based on that anime's content. I don't want to miss the significance of a clip because I didn't understand why it was used in context.
