  The original inspiration for this vid was Homestar Runner's video for this song, a bonus on They Might Be Giants' most recent dvd, Venue Songs. (You can also watch it at www.HomestarRunner.com)
  
  It would not do the video justice to try to describe how weird it was. At the time I first saw it, it seemed like a parody of over the top indie films that try their hardest to be artsy and intelligent, but just end up silly and pathetic. Or it was just a weird video... In any case, that's what I based my video on.
  
  At first the video was just going to be an anime version of the original vid. But then some ideas wouldn't work and I started throwing in my own stuff... Result: There's only one scene that's a direct copy of the original. I suppose that's a good thing.
  
  And if you don't get the ending sequence, it's meant to mimic the original Azumanga Daioh manga which consisted of four panel comics. So there.
