Michiko & Hatchin has always been one of my favorite anime; it has a style, tone, and cast like no other. When Funimation localized it in late 2013, I rushed to make an AMV to hopefully get other people interested as well.
Like with “Ceaselessly into the Past”, I wanted to tell a story of several different characters chasing after someone, trying to find their idealized relationship, and being haunted by their failures in the past. Michiko and Satoshi want Hiroshi, Atsuko wants Michiko, but Hatchin just wants a mom even if she’s not perfect. I hope you enjoy watching and please support the official release!
